Madal Virupakshappa appeared after getting bail

MLA Virupakshappa was present near Madalu village house today as he was granted interim bail in the High Court.

He disappeared just as he got a tip-off that the Lokayukta police were about to arrest him. Even for 2-3 days he did not give any clue about his whereabouts. Now he is seen near his residence in Davangere.

They have been directed to appear before the investigating officer within 48 hours of receiving the bail order.

Virupakshappa is seen in his hometown, Channeshpur. There he was welcomed by his supporters with bangs, garlands and a procession. As he returned, supporters and activists gathered near the MLA's residence.

Then Virupakshappa got darshan of Mahadevamma Devi. Later he visited the temple of Ishwara and offered special puja. At this time the supporters shouted slogans in favor of Modal Virupakshappa.

The High Court, which granted interim bail, directed Madal to surrender before the Lokayukta within 48 hours. It has also ordered to give full cooperation to the investigation. Also, the inquiry in this regard was postponed to March 17.
